CLOVER FILMS CELEBRATES 7TH ANNIVERSARY WITH 7 MOVIES THIS FESTIVE SEASON!

Clover Films celebrates its 7th anniversary this month and will be releasing 7 highly-anticipated Asian movies from now to Chinese New Year (CNY) 2017.

Headlining the 7 high-profile Asian titles will be action blockbusters RAILROAD TIGERS and KUNG FU YOGA, both starring international superstar Jackie Chan. RAILROAD TIGERS, set during pre-World War II China, has Jackie leading a ragtag of freedom fighters against the Japanese army.

The action comedy will open in cinemas on 29th December 2016. KUNG FU YOGA, reunites Jackie with longtime collaborator Director Stanley Tong. The action adventure brings together an ensemble cast of Bollywood stars Sonu Sood, Disha Patani & Amyra Dastur and Chinese heartthrobs Aarif Lee & Lay (Zhang Yixiang), and will open in cinemas during CNY 2017.

Also in its lineup is the Wuxia masterpiece SWORD MASTER, opening in Singapore on 15th December 2016. Directed by Derek Yee and produced by Tsui Hark, SWORD MASTER premiered recently at the prestigious Rome International Film Festival.

Adding festive vibes to CNY 2017, the delectable and enticing Comedy - COOK UP A STORM, starring Nicholas Tse, Korean star Jung Yong-hwa of Pop-rock group CNBLUE, Tiffany Tang, Michelle Bai, Hong Kong veteran Anthony Wong and Chinese maestro Ge You.

Other releases include 10,000 MILES, a Taiwanese movie produced by Jay Chou and starring Taiwanese heartthrob Darren Wang, Thai horror SCHOOL TALES and Korean blockbuster MASTER, a crime-thriller starring Korean stars Lee Byung-hun, Gang Dong-won and Kim Woo-bin.

Clover Films, inaugurated in December 2009 and headquartered in Singapore, has distributed more than 200 movies and produced more than 20 movies to date. Among the titles distributed this year are the phenomenal TRAIN TO BUSAN, award-winning local movie APPRENTICE and the Chinese box-office hits LINE WALKER and OPERATION MEKONG . A firm believer in local filmmaking talent, Clover Films has plans to co-produce at least 3 local movies in 2017.
