THE 36TH CHINA GOLDEN ROOSTER AWARDS (第36届中国电影金鸡奖)

Tony Leung Chiu-wai took home the best actor award in his first nomination in the 36th China Golden Rooster Awards which took place on 4th November 2023. No stranger to film awards, Tony also received a Golden Lion Lifetime Achievement Award at the Venice Film Festival in September.

Best Actor: Tony Leung (HIDDEN BLADE)

Best Actress: He Saifei (OFF THE STAGE)

Best Supporting Actor: Li Xuejian (CREATION OF THE GODS I)

Best Supporting Actress: Huang Miyi (RIPPLES OF LIFE)  

Best Cinematography: Wang Yu (CREATION OF THE GODS I)

Best Film Editing: Cheng Er (HIDDEN BLADE)

Best Sound Design: Wang Danrong, Zhu Yanfeng (THE WANDERING EARTH 2)

Best Directorial Debut:  Liu Xiaoshi (BORN TO FLY)

Best Foreign Language Film: Notre-Dame on Fire
