The title says it all.

Written by renowned Chicago’s film critic, Roger Ebert, “Your Movie Sucks” is a selection of his past movie reviews ranging from the year 2002 to 2006. Of course, you know what kind of movies are being shortlisted.

Without resorting to intricate English, Ebert’s reviews are pretty laidback, honest and occasionally sarcastically funny. Take for instance, on the Rob Schneider’s comedy, “Hot Chick”, Ebert says it is too vulgar for anyone under thirteen and too dumb for anyone over thirteen. Oh and Ebert seems to be more of a fan of Jackie Chan than Jet Li. While he describes Chan's action in “Rush Hour 2” as a combination of grace, ability and timing, he finds no point in Jet Li leaping six feet in the air and rotates clockwise while kicking three guys in “Romeo Must Die”.

There are people out there who don’t trust critics’ opinions. And there are some who find them debatable over a cup of latte. Whichever group you belong to; there’s absolutely no harm in picking up Ebert’s book. Be entertained by this Pulitzer Prize winner.

But hey if your wallet is a bit tight, we are in fact a great source to rely on.

Shameless plug I know.

Referring to the 2005 comedy "Yours, Mine & Ours" starring Dennis Quaid and Rene Russo

"Now about those opening logos before the movie started. This one sets some kind of a record. In no particular order, I counted Columbia Pictures, Nickelodeon Movies, Paramount Pictures and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. Why did no studio in Hollywood want to back a single one of last year's best picture nominees and every studio in town wanted to get involved in this one? To be sure, Fox, Disney and Warner Bros got left out. Too slow off the mark?"

You might not be familiar with some of the movies reviewed but it's the joy in reading Ebert’s words and thoughts that count.
