Movie Review:

Blame the Wayans brothers for starting it all- I mean the “Scary Movie” franchises. If you have not been exposed to the world of pop culture for the past five years, the “Scary Movie” series is basically a spoof of all other movies not just the scary ones. Don’t bother to look for any story line, the fun is spotting the movies that are being spoofed if you call that fun.

And now it has reached installment number four with David Zucker (Airplane) at the helm with Anna Faris and Regina Hall returning. Other guest stars include Charlie Sheen in a Viagra-inspired opening act, Anthony Anderson, Bill Pullman and who else Leslie ‘the fumbling’ Nielsen. From “War of the Worlds” to “The Village” to “Brokeback Mountain”, the writers are spoofing anything memorable on the big screen between the periods of 2004 to 2005.

You see, the main gripe about this genre is you are not suppose to treat it seriously and to follow the flow as it goes. It’s akin to your boss telling a bad joke during lunchtime and you are obliged to follow the rest of your colleagues and laugh your ass off.

In addition, here are some free recommended guidelines if you intend to catch this:

1. If you are the sort who laugh at the slightest things (even your dad farting), please feel free to purchase your admit ticket to “Scary Movie 4”.

2. If you are a fanatic fan of the past run-out-of-mill Wong Jing’s HK comedies, please feel free to purchase your admit ticket to “Scary Movie 4”.

3. If you can't enough of sex jokes, fart jokes and sex jokes, please feel free to purchase your admit ticket to “Scary Movie 4”.

4. If you wish to see a fake Tom Cruise jumping on a fake Oprah’s couch, please feel free to purchase your admit ticket to “Scary Movie 4”.

Anyway, before this cheesy review is finished, the grapevine has it that Dimension Films is planning on a fifth sequel. God forbid.

(An absolute must-watch comedy for the horny teens crowd and I mean solely for that demographics only)
