X-Men: Days of Future Past Outstanding #1 Worldwide & in Singapore!
Twentieth Century Fox’s X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST had an outstanding worldwide opening, with a global total of USD$302 million, and a Singapore #1 with a box office of SGD$4,014,950 in its opening weekend (Thu to Sun) in Singapore.
This opening weekend result of SGD$4,014,950 / USD 3,192,286 ranks as Fox’s All Time Highest Opening Weekend, surpassing previous Fox’s releases like Avatar, Star Wars Episode II & III and Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer. This opening weekend surpassed all previous X-Men releases including X-Men: The Last Stand, X-Men: First Class and The Wolverine.

UPDATE AS OF 12 MAY 2014 - FACT SHEET ON THE SEA PREMIERE OF X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST IN SINGAPORE
1. This is the First Southeast Asia Hollywood blockbuster film premiere to be held in Singapore.
2. This is the first time Fox International has organized a global premiere of this scale, with 7 participating countries, and Singapore as the only stop in Southeast Asia.
3. It’s been 13 years since Tom Cruise’s Vanilla Sky (2001) that a top-grossing film franchise like an X-Men movie has been held in Singapore with Hollywood superstars in attendance - Oscar nominee A-lister Hugh Jackman, cult favourite and critically-acclaimed actor Peter Dinklage, and China’s biggest female star Fan Bing Bing.
4. This SEA premiere will be attended by over 150 press members across TV, radio, print and digital including 70 Asia Pacific press from Hong Kong, India, Indonesia Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Taiwan & Vietnam.
5. The premiere also doubles up as Fox studio’s business conference with more than 70 key Asia Pacific cinema exhibitors flying in to attend the event at Shaw Lido cinema.
6. Blue Carpet set up starts Sunday, May 11, 10 p.m.
7. We anticipate that this will be the biggest X-Men fan gathering from the region. The Blue Carpet walkway will be peppered with Cosplayers’, regional and local fans’ mosh pit. There will be Instagram booth activities and 3D-mapping stage area.
