TRAIN TO BUSAN is now the top-grossing Asian movie in Singapore this year! The movie collected SGD $460,258 over its 5th weekend (1st – 4th September) and accumulated an amazing SGD $4.41 million as of 4th September! The movie opened in Singapore on 4th August on 25 prints!

TRAIN TO BUSAN CLAIMED THE NO. 1 SPOT AT THE LOCAL WEEKEND BOX OFFICE CHART!

TRAIN TO BUSAN  claimed the No.1 spot at the local weekend box office chart, despite its third weekend of release, beating Hollywood blockbusters including BEN-HUR, LIGHTS OUT, DISNEY’S THE BFG (first-week titles), THE SHALLOWS (second-week title) and SUICIDE SQUAD (third-week title). TRAIN TO BUSAN grossed $668,000 over its third weekend and accumulated an astonished SGD $2.94 million as of 21st August.

TRAIN TO BUSAN  hits the $2million mark at the local box office in less than 2 weeks! The movie grossed a stunning $836,000 over its 2nd weekend (11th August to 14th August), 36% or $225,000 higher as compared to its 1st weekend (4th August to 7th August) at $611,000!

TRAIN TO BUSAN is officially the top-grossing Korean movie in Singapore! Till date, after a week at the cinemas since its release on 4th August, the movie has accumulated SGD $1.17 million on 25 prints island wide! TRAIN TO BUSAN is the first Korean movie in Singapore to hit the million-dollar mark at the box office. TRAIN TO BUSAN scores the biggest opening weekend box office for Korean movies in Singapore, grossing a stunning $611,000 over its first four days (4th to 7th August) since releasing in cinemas on 4th August!

TRAIN TO BUSAN has already surpassed the final box office of TALE OF TWO SISTERS which ended at $490,000 when it was released in 2003. The distributors of TRAIN TO BUSAN are confident that its final box office will overtake record holder 200 POUNDS BEAUTY, which grossed $980,000 at the end of its film run in 2007.

Korean zombie blockbuster TRAIN TO BUSAN  sets a record-breaking opening day box office for Korean movies in Singapore! The highly anticipated movie, rated NC16, grossed a stunning $75,000 when it opened yesterday, 4th August 2016, on 25 screens!

Horror film WISHING STAIRS is the previous record holder when it collected $64,000 on its first day of release in 2003. The movie eventually finished with a total of $840,000 at the end of its film run. All-time top-grossing Korean movie in Singapore is romantic-comedy 200 POUNDS BEAUTY which collected a total of $980,000 at the end of its run in 2007.
