BENZ HUI (许绍雄) (1948 - 2025)
Veteran Hong Kong actor Benz Hui Shiu-hung, aged 76, passed away on 28 October 2025 in Hong Kong. His death was attributed to multiple-organ failure caused by kidney cancer.
A highly respected figure in the Hong Kong entertainment industry, Hui built a career spanning more than 50 years with over 160 film and television credits. He was particularly famed for his supporting roles, earning widespread recognition and the nickname “King of Supporting Actors”.
In his later years, Hui lived between Hong Kong and Singapore, contributing to both television and film while remaining active in the industry until recently.
He leaves behind a legacy of outstanding character performances and a body of work that will endure in Hong Kong’s cinematic history.
