We started eight years ago as a humble website by some movie enthusiasts who wanted to share our love for movies with the rest of Singapore... and today, eight years later, our website has grown- we think- to be one of the premier source of information about anything and everything that screens in our tiny little island.
To continue in our quest of being a foremost platform to the world of movies in Singapore, we are looking to expand our team by recruiting more like-minded contributors. If you have ample free time, keen to watch a movie first before everyone else, and prepared to share your thoughts on it, you may just be the one we are looking for!
Any strings attached? Well, not really- just a few ground rules:
1. Reviews are to be submitted as far as possible within 3 days of the scheuled preview, or before the opening date, depending on which is closer. Big name titles like IRON MAN 3 usually have their premiere just one or two days before the movie's opening, so be prepared to work a little harder if you want to be in line for such titles.
2. There's no monetary returns. We are a self-funded, self-maintained website. Even though it may look on the contrary, we are not backed by any commercial entity- which of course makes our reviews independent and unbiased. We can't offer you monetary compensation if that's what you are looking for- just a pair of free movie tickets every time we choose you to review a movie.
3. If you are interested, you may also choose to attend press interviews with the stars, or cover red-carpet premieres whenever stars drop in. For instance, we covered THE VIRAL FACTOR's press conference and red-carpet premiere when Jay Chou dropped in. Again, this depends very much on when such an event comes up- but let us know if you would like to attend and cover the event for us, and we can make arrangements for you to do some star-gazing in between too.
