|SNAG Magazine Launch Party 24 Sep 05
MovieXclusive.com was honoured to have been invited to Sense, the launch party of one of our partners, SNAG magazine. Held at Indochine's Nude Supperclub + Bar, we were all set to party and herald the beginning of a new magazine targeted at the Sensual New Age Guy!
Media and guests were treated to a cocktail dinner, before Pink's Get This Party Started opened the night with a male modelling show, where models strutted their stuff decked in apparel by Tommy Hilfiger, United Colors of Benetton, and Swatch, showcasing the fashion spreads found in the debut magazine.
But naturally, the club atmosphere was electrified with the eager anticipation for the real stars of the event - the nine beautiful ladies featured in the very first issue of SNAG. Sashaying down the catwalk to the tune Bosson's One In A Million, the audience was clearly mesmerized.
The radiant, confident ladies were mostly tertiary students, exuding their distinct personalities through the Question and Answer session. Questions ranged from the popular "What's your ideal man" types to explanations of some of their unique names, and we nearly had a pole-dance which didn't happen, because of a shy male audience. If you'd wish to know more about the ladies, don't hesitate, go grab a copy of SNAG.
In a charitable gesture, and in aid of the Singapore Woman's Association, a special edition of the magazine, with all the ladies' autographs, was auctioned away to the tune of S$250.
Boys With Toys, a 6 member live band, performed a range of covers to entertain everyone, starting with Duran Duran's Ordinary World, to radio friendly tunes like Maroon 5's This Love, No Doubt's Don't Speak, tipping the hat to one of Sense's sponsors Swatch with Five For Fighting's Something About You, and recognizable tunes from movies like Evanescence's Bring Me To Life (Daredevil) and U2's classic With Or Without You (Blown Away).
By then, the crowd had swelled when doors were opened to the public, open testimony to SNAG's potential popularity and reach.
